Volkswagen Polo

The VW Polo is the sharpest looking hatchbacks in India currently and oozes a lot of character.

The diamond shaped head lamps are tastefully designed. You won't find the windshield washer nozzle on the bonnet as it is neatly hidden near the wipers  leaving the bonnet uncluttered.

The 1.2L, 3 cylinder engine pumps out 77bhp and is tuned for optimal city driving. You get to hear a gentle roar from the engine as you step on the accelerator. The gear shift is short and sharp.

The interior plastic quality is excellent. The dual tone interiors is airy and elegant. Space is generous with adequate legroom both in the front and rear. The Polo also offers excellent luggage space, ample for the weekend getaways. The instrument cluster is all red and gives in a lot of info.

When pushed hard into corners the Polo comes out quite confidently. The Comfortline comes a tiltable and telescopic steering column.

The suspension are on the stiffer side but do their work pretty well and keeps the ride smooth. The 185/60 R15 tyres are broad enough and looks smart.

Ex-showroom prices start at around Rs.4.15 onwards.

A winner all the way!!
